Accessibility Statement

Everyone deserves access to clear health information and the ability to schedule the dental care they need. Magnolia Dental Roanoke is committed to making our website usable by visitors of all abilities.

Our commitment

We strive to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at the AA level. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of abilities, including visual, hearing, cognitive, and motor differences.

Accessibility is a continuous process — not a one-time fix. We test new features and pages against these standards before publishing, and we welcome feedback from anyone who encounters a barrier.

What we’ve done

  • Keyboard navigation: every interactive element on the site can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, including the main navigation, dropdown menus, and the contact form.
  • Visible focus indicators: a clear blossom-pink outline appears around the active element when navigating by keyboard.
  • Skip-to-content link:the first tab stop on every page lets keyboard users jump past navigation directly to the page’s main content.
  • Image descriptions: every meaningful image has descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked so assistive technology can skip them.
  • Color contrast: body text and interactive elements meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and UI components).
  • Semantic structure: headings are nested logically (one H1 per page, no skipped levels) so screen readers can navigate the page outline.
  • Forms: every form field is labeled, required fields are announced to assistive technology, and errors include both visual and programmatic indicators.
  • Mobile-friendly:the site adapts to small screens, supports text resizing up to 200%, and meets WCAG’s minimum touch-target size of 44 × 44 pixels for interactive elements.
  • Reduced motion:animations are subtle and respect the operating system’s reduced-motion preference where applicable.

What we’re still working on

Some third-party tools we rely on for online booking and analytics are outside our direct control. We monitor those providers’ accessibility statements and choose vendors who share our commitment.

If you encounter a barrier with the online booking widget, you can always book your appointment by phone instead — call us at 540-362-3047 during clinical hours and our front-desk team will help directly.

Report a barrier

If something on this site doesn’t work for you — a missing alt description, a control you can’t reach with a keyboard, low-contrast text, or anything else — please let us know. We take every report seriously and will work with you to provide the information or service you need.

Contact us about accessibility

Please describe the page or feature, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology or browser you were using (if you know). We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within two business days.

In our office

Our practice on Airport Road NW is single-story with step-free access from the parking lot. Operatories accommodate wheelchairs and mobility aids. If you need a specific accommodation for your visit — extra time at check-in, a support animal welcome, written instructions, a sign-language interpreter, or anything else — please let us know in advance so we can prepare.
